President Tufan Erhürman Visits Committee on Missing Persons’ Anthropology Laboratory in the UN buffer zone

On Thursday, a joint visit was conducted by President Tufan Erhürman and Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides to the Anthropology Laboratory of the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP) in the UN buffer zone.

President Erhürman arrived at the CMP facility at 3.15pm, where he was welcomed by Mr. Khassim Diagne, Head of Mission of the UN Peacekeeping Force, Ms. María Ángela Holguín, the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General, the Turkish Cypriot Member of the CMP, Mr. Hakkı Müftüzade and other members of the Committee.

Following their meeting with Mr. Diagne and Ms. Holguín, President Erhürman and Greek Cypriot Leader Christodoulides were briefed by members of the CMP on the ongoing work in the laboratory.

During the visit, President Erhürman was accompanied by Presidential Undersecretary Mehmet Dânâ, Chief of Staff of the Presidency, Mustafa Ergüven, and Press and Public Relations Officer Tünay Mertekçi.

Upon conclusion of the visit, President Tufan Erhürman is scheduled to hold a meeting with Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides at the United Nations Good Offices, with the participation of Ms Holguín.
