President Tatar commemorates Miraç Kandili
President Ersin Tatar issued a message commemorating the annually held Miraç Kandili (Lailat al Miraj).
President Tatar stated:
“We are once again commemorating the annual celebration of Miraç Kandili (Lailat al Miraj), the night of the Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) miraculous journey to heaven which we have been celebrating on these lands since 1571 when Cyprus was conquered and became our homeland.
I hereby commemorate Miraç Kandili celebrations of the Turkish Cypriot people, the Turkish nation and the Muslim world with all my heart, as I wish for the Covid-19 pandemic to end and for humanity to live in good health in peace.”
