In his speech at the reception, President Ersin Tatar commemorated the former President of the Republic of Türkiye, Süleyman Demirel, who was from Isparta, and said that he wanted to meet with young people at Süleyman Demirel University and explain the Cyprus problem.

Pointing out that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has achieved success in economy, tourism, higher education, agriculture, industry and service sector Ar-Ge projects, President Tatar noted that the TRNC, which is trusted with the increase in savings in the country, its return to investment and the support of Türkiye, is on its way to becoming a centre of attraction.

Stating that TRNC will take its place as a tourism, trade and science island in the Eastern Mediterranean, President Tatar emphasised that foreign and local business people, who evaluated this, invested in the country.

Noting that efforts are continuing to increase success and interest, President Tatar added that in the current communication age, the developments in the TRNC are instantly heard around the world.

Stating that the ties between the two peoples have improved with the development of transportation in Türkiye and Cyprus, President Tatar said, “It is important to benefit from Isparta's successes and experiences in agriculture and other sectors. Partnerships to be established will be positive. The work that will strengthen the TRNC by developing the bonds of brotherhood between the two peoples and passing them on to the younger generations has national value.”
