President Ersin Tatar participated in the official opening of the Fourth Edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) at the Nest International Convention Centre in Belek, Türkiye, on Friday.

The ADF is taking place from April 11 to 13 and is being held under the theme “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World”, under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and hosted by Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.

Other TRNC officials are also participating in the ADF, where there are participants from 148 countries, including more than 20 heads of state and government, 74 ministers and near to 450 high-level representatives.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, in reference to the Cyprus issue, stated that they are “working for the reaffirmation of the sovereign equality and equal international status of the Turkish Cypriot People”.

The forum, which will be hosting different panels and platforms and bilateral meetings for debating issues facing the world from the Pacific, Africa to Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, will also take up issues related to climate change, fight against terrorism, humanitarian aid, digitalisation, food safety and artificial intelligence.

The ADF provides a platform for global leaders, policy makers, academics and representatives of the press, to explore how diplomacy can be used to address the global issues and challenges and to find a common ground for collective action.
