President Ersin Tatar inspects the new terminal building of Ercan Airport and chairs a high-level meeting there with regards to the completion of the project

President Ersin Tatar visited and inspected Ercan Airport today as well as chairing a high-level meeting with regards to the completion of the new terminal building.
 
Attending the meeting chaired by President Tatar were Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu, Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Commander Major General Sezai Öztürk, Security Forces Major General Zorlu Topaloğlu, Minister of Transport and Public Works Erhan Arıklı, Minister of Finance Alişan Şan, Minister of Interior Ziya Öztürkler, Undersecretary of the Presidency Okan Donangil, Undersecretary of the Prime Ministry Berhan Ongan, BSEC Director Ömer Cihan, First Deputy of the Police Kasım Kuni, undersecretaries of the relevant ministries and bureaucrats.
 
Pointing out the importance of the immediate implementation of the Ercan Airport project, President Tatar said that the new terminal building has been physically completed and could be opened in the coming months following the completion of permanent electricity connectivity, instillation of security equipment and other infrastructure works.
 
Stating that the new terminal building, runway and facilities will make significant contributions to the country's economy and tourism, President Tatar emphasised that the new terminal building, which will serve millions of passengers, is a very significant and important investment for the TRNC.
 
President Tatar emphasised that he welcomes the meticulous work on the completion of the new Ercan Airport terminal building, runway and technology to be used, which will be at the same level as other modern airports in the world in terms of passenger safety, flight safety and high level of service.
